Post subject: Any tips in dealing with "Customer Service" at Von
I need
Vonage
to call my local telephone company (Verizon) to help sort out a call forwarding issue. (Any calls to the Verizon line are remotely forwarded to my
Vonage
line and result in loud static.)
The tech rep in NJ named Karan said that
Vonage
would not call, since they don't think it's their problem. The Verizon rep gave me his phone number and said that he deals with other telephone companies all day, but that they have no contacts at
Vonage
. Since it's a remote forwarded line, he said that there were no lines per se to debug and it seems to be working on the Verizon end.
Any advice on how to get
Vonage
to call?

Call
Vonage
and ask them if they can hold for a minute. Call your Verizon guy and conference him in. Now tell the
Vonage
rep that you are having a problems and you Verizon rep has a question for him/her.
