Hi. I don't known nothing about Voip. I have 2 servers (1 Windows 2000 and 1 Linux Red Hat). Each have an voice modem Multitech 56K V.90 Voice/Data/FAX with standard line phone to accepts dialup ppp conections. Now, I want to install some software in my server and workstations in my LAN to accept voice call througth this modems and talk with any person in my LAN using Voip protocols. Normaly I use and answering machine software to accept voice call and save the message, but now, I need to redirect this calls througth IP LAN to a person working in any workstation.
What can I do? Exists any software for this? Please, , help me.
Excuse my language.
Thanks, Chirino |

To the bset of my knowledge, voice modems aren't compatible with Asterisk. You'll need to buy FXO/FXS cards. There are cheap ones available, which aren't a bad idea if you're just starting out....but will have echoing and other iffy problems, but they're worth a try until you decide you're really going to use Asterisk. |
