First, the Vonage online help is useless, fire the robot use real people. Second, Real people are not any better. the following is form the Vonage site: "Your Network Availability Number is similar to Call Forwarding, except that it's activated only when your Internet connection is disrupted or your telephone adapter is disconnected. Once activated, calls to your Vonage phone number will forward to the number you choose until your Internet connection is restored. Please note, if Call Forwarding is enabled, all calls will be forwarded to the Call Forwarding settings, not to the Network Availability Number settings. "
Pretty simple huh? well not per customer service. They say that when the router is disconnected, the network availability number is supposed to ring. I'm hopeful they read this forum and fix the problem or change the spec. I'd bet on a spec. change, so I guess I'll have to live with it. BTW, I would like it to work as pecified, so I won't have to change the network availability number while the router is moving from location A to B. |
