OK, here's a weird problem. In trying to make sure that I've configured my QoS properly I've logged onto my RTP300 and notice that my WAN mac address keeps randomly changing. I reboot the RTP300 and all goes back to normal. Any ideas on what is causing this?
It starts out as 00:13:XX:XX:XX:XX and then when I log on a few hours later, the RTP300 seems to report iself as 90:00:00:00:C0:CC until I reboot it, then it reverts. My WRT54GSv2 reports the mac address correctly, it's the RTP300 that seems to report the inaccuracy.
My setup: Cablemodem --> WRT54GSv2 --> RTP300
No PC's behind the RTP300.
Thanks. |

On the RTP300, under "MAC Address Clone" (off the main setup screen), is that set to ENABLE or DISABLE?
Normally, that would be disabled, and it should be "locking in" whatever you set there if it is enabled, but it's worth a shot.
Of course, if this is enabled and spoofing the MAC address of your router or another device on your network, that could be a problem... |
