I found this idea buried somewhere in the forum and since it worked for me I thought I'd bring it back to the top. For two weeks I was unable to even access the LOA page. I was calling every 48 hours (which is how long they said it would take each time I called) to report that I was still unable to access my LOA to even START the process. Each time they said, no problem "we'll start a ticket" and it should be taken care of within the next 48 hours. Needless to say I was getting frustrated. After reviewing the posts on the topic here I found someone who had called to cancel their service because of this situation and the tech immediately fixed the problem. So, I called and said I wanted to cancel because I still didn't have access to my LOA. I was a little disappointed when he wasn't able to fix it immediately like had occurred for the poster on this board. However, he did indicate that now that my account had a ticket to cancel service, I should probably expect to see that my LOA would be on my doorstep or in my inbox within 24 hours. Lo and behold it was! Not only that but a mere two days later my number was ported from Comcast (Denver metro area)! So, apparently the way to get the attention of the Vonage folks is to cancel your service. As soon as my number was ported, I called and cancelled my cancellation request - the rest is history! Good luck. |

I don't think going about it that way is very smart. Vonage will catch onto that scheme and then they may just say Okay, see ya. Then what will you do? |

Then you either a. leave Vonage because their customer service **** and your phone number was never going to be transferred or b. restart your service and hope to have things actually work with your new account - when the option is horrific customer service there's not really a "threat" that they might cancel your service. The fear of cancellation comes with actually enjoying something. |
