I've had Vonage since last fall. The Cisco had its initial burps and hiccups. Tech Support got me through and after initially being almost useless, my fax became about 90% reliable. We switched to the Moto because of problems with random tones on calls (oops, still have them but not nearly as much) and other issues that made the Moto seem superior. We're one of the rare birds who run the Moto in front of our router. The PHONE is fine and the whole internet system is quite stable, thank you very much. The fax? Well, it's the pits most of the time and usually when I need to send a long fax urgently. Sad

We've adjusted the baud to 9600 on my HP G85 all in one. I do *99 I stand on one foot and I whistle Dixie. Nothing works when I need it to most. Tech support and I keep passing like ships in the night, through no fault of their own. I have been traveling a lot and just don't have time to deal with it. I give up and use my Efax account and pay the ridiculous outgoing fax charges.

I will call support and get this righted -- or finally give up and cancel the fax line. It seems to receive far better than it sends. Figures. Receiving on Efax is free.

It changes the Codec that you use for the voice quality. 90 is the best and is near CD quality.

Well, I caved in and purchased a Belkin DSL line filter. I must confess that so far my send rate is 100% success (ok, it was only 2 faxes of 1 page each) but so far so good. I've also received a couple of faxes, so I will continue to test and report back.

Hmm. I had a Linksys line filter here already and slapped that on the line a long time ago. Maybe the Belkins are better. I must say since I was unable to send the 9-page urgent fax on Monday, the few short ones I've sent have gone. Good luck!

I spent a couple of hours last night trying to send a fax. Same problem.
It finally went through this morning, but my floor is littered with failed faxes and trace reports. I will escalate once more to Vonage but clearly, looking at the trace, the problem is excessive line noise.
