Been trying to get my port forwarding to work so I can run a Half-Life 2 Server... I'm trying to get port 27015 open. Soooo, I jump into the router, to be safe, I enable 26000 to 28000 (never know). I'm still not getting through tho.
I've tried setting it up as DMZ, still no luck. Using the RTP-300 router, thanks! |

how is your network setup? modem - rtp300 - computer? are you using tcp or udp or both? and of course make sure you're entering the correct router assigned ip for your server. |

you can't just toss something in. you have to find out what the ip is. you can do it several ways. one way is to go to status, local network, dhcp client table in the rtp300. (assuming you can figure out which device your server is if you have multiple computers connected. otherwise it should be the only one and the ip is probably 192.168.1.100) otherwise run ipconfig in windows on the server computer and you will see the ip. if you have linux...well, I doubt you do but you should know how to find the ip if you do. |

It's been a good 4 years since I've messed with this, I'm hoping I'm getting this right.
This is what I've got so far, good so far, right?

If so, I'll set back to default settings and give it a go |

that looks good. unless port forwarding doesn't work on the rtp300 (i.e. qos) it should be working as far as I know. do your other forwards work? |

You also need to make sure you've opened up the ports on your computer's software firewall(s) as well. |
