"Anyone who buys this service should be ware of charges incurrsed when canceling within 30 days.

You will still be charged for the device and EVERYTHING...even if you cancel before the 30 days is up...they claim the refund will occur within a week but it has been longer thant htat for me.

This service is nothing but FRAUD!

DO not purchase VONAGE! Try calling the Billing department before you order and ask for a manager..you will be put in circles and disconnected.

Vonage is Hell!!"

Clear Violation of the Rules. Go "dump and run" somewhere else.

Welcome to Vonage Hell!!!

It is within 30 days you may recieve your refund but they will do everything to make sure you fall out of that thirty days whether it be shipping the device late or giving you the run around on how they can fix your issue til you are no longer within the thirty days. Also it is 90 days that you must have service to recieve the rebate on the device otherwise you will be charged the full amount. So go ahead and cancel and you will be charged the cancelation fee and the full amount for the device until you get the device back to them. Oh make sure you get a tracking number and signiture required or you can bet you will never see your money again! Of course if you wait one year there will be no disconect fee. There are two other plans that all of you do not know about they are called Basic 0 and Basic 10. (4.99 a month and 9.99 a month). They use these to try to save people. But beware there is a rate change charge included but if you complain they will waive it. They can extend the money back gaurentee as well just make sure they have documented it. You must be vigilant and stay on top of them. do not take their crap. Do not let them tell you the supervisor is busy . The supervisor sits 10 feet away at a desk and is not that busy I tell you!

Obviously NAVYDAVY is some kind of vonage employee with 600 posts...

I Was never sent a device and one wasn't being sent...I canceled within 7 days of signing up and they charged me $13 for the shipping that never shipped...

That is until I canceled..now they owe $52. But thats not the bad part..the bad part is..they didn't tell me they were taking out the other $40 and this caused over draft fees amounting to $80 the first day $120 the second day and tomorrow I will be well near $300...they refused to help me and drop my call within 10 minutes of the phone call.

I've never used my service...never received a device...they should have never charged me ANYTHING...

You can trust me on 1 thing NavyDavy...I'm not a dump and run poster...

I'll be here until I'm refunded 100% of my funds including overdraft fees.

The thing that makes me sick about vonage is that it took me lying to them to actually get to talk to a manager.

I was told that all managers were busy...and to call back...but then I sighed and said "my daughter is in the hospital with cancer and the visiting hours are over in 2 hours...I really need to talk to someone...and INSTANTLY I was transfered to an ENGLISH speaking manager who basically lied to me and told me he would have the billing department contact me at my place of work tomorrow...

I am calling now to verify the time they told the billing departrment to call me...and so far it has been 35 minutes and I can't get an answer from anyone in sales.

Do us a favor, don't. Did the part about this forum being an INDEPENDANT site escape you? BTW, I've never, and will never work for Vonage. I'm a user, just like you. I'm just one who works through my issues, asks for help, and not rant like a lunatic.

1. As NavyDavy stated, this is an independent site with people who are volunteers, not employees of Vonage, trying to help people with technical problems.

2. There is a technical problem being discussed on this thread - Vonage's inability to route 800# calls. Why is it necessary for you to insert a rant about your (admittedly valid, but completely irrelevant to the topic) billing issues?

If you'd like to discuss your billing issues, the 4th page of a discussion of 800# routing issues isn't really the place to start it.

I realize you are angry at Vonage. No one here caused your problem, and now you are not only not respecting the rules of the site, you're getting downright rude to people who have done nothing to cause your problem.

Now if anyone was rude it was navy...

calling me a DUMPER? that was quite offensive.

I did not mean to break any rules and appologize.

But lee in sales has lied to me...I feel so sad.

and George a manager in billing is unable to help me..

I understand this is an independent site..thank you for being here for me in my time of need.

Joe, I know you're upset. We all get that way. I just don't like slams when no advice or help is asked for. I think you need more than just the guy you happen to get on the phone, so:

Hey thanks again.

I really wish the whole vonage thing would have worked out. I could have used the price break from my land-line..my phone company actually offered me a low-use land-line and my dsl for the price of my dsl...so vonage basically would have been a 2nd line..

Sad...but after going through this I am glad I didn't cancel after the 30 days...or wish I did..I can't tell.

I just really don't understand why they charged me a cancelation fee after knowing I was never shipped a device and knowing I was under the 10 days of being activated...it just doesn't add up.

More than likely, one computer in billing didn't communicate with one computer in shipping, or some crap like that, and it went through. It seems technology is a great thing usually, until something like this happens. More than likely it's really an oversight, but the C.S. rep you got were clueless.
