I was on the phone with level 3 tech support last night, the whole time, I could not duplicate the problem. During the day, the problem existed, but when the tech called, on a Vonage and POTS line, it worked fine.
We did all sorts of tests, did get some hiss, etc. They are sending out a new Vonage router to see if it helps. Tech said it is probably an issue with optimum online, which will be a pain to work with - if it is, can't tell them I'm using Vonage, since I doubt they will care.
I moved the wireless router further away. (Did not turn it off yet), and I dont have a cordless phone.
Thanks so far.
TestmyVOIP Results today.

It worked well on Friday night, all day Saturday, and most of Sunday. Now, on Sunday evening the problems is back. But here is the wierd part. I re-ran the test my Voip test and the numbers are BETTER. I did it twice - once normal, and once while on a call. Maybe it is the Vonage device - hopefully - a new one is on its way.
