I'm glad to hear that the Hawking fixed your issues as well. It works really well for Voip. I did find a couple of reviews that indicated it worked as advertised, but it still had an element of snake oil to it (before trying it). The Streamengine chip seems to be the real deal. |

No snake oil here.. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own two eyes. The Hawking does have the Streamengine chip and I bought the Hawking based on reviews in this and other forums. Got it today and it cured my upstream ills (problems with garbled voice when I was talking and uploading files concurrently). $62 from Buy.com and I highly recommend. As a matter of fact, one of my technical cohorts who is also a Vonage user helped me test and he immediately ordered after hearing my voice quality. Money well spent.... |

Just a note that the D-Link DI-102 is essentially the same as the Hawking unit. So for people who want to go this route, you can choose either the Hawking or the D-Link and get the same results. |
