Is any one else having problems with voicemail being very slow to react? I just got my equipment in today and was up and running in about 3 minutes perfectly. When I tried to test the voice mail that I has setup last week this is what happened:

I called from my cell and when it rang for 15 seconds (which is what I set it to) it went silent for about 30 seconds to a minute then my recording came on.

Then I had the same problem when I called from the Vonage phone to check the message, it did not ask for my code for at least 30 seconds.

I got the new V-Tech system with the 2 cordless hand sets.

I assume this is not normal seeing that my other tests last week before I got my equipment it was fine.

No, that's not normal. I'm afraid it means a call to customer service.

Well maybe the 30 seconds is better than the hours on the phone for support...

Thanks firewall but that is not the problem I am having. The voice mails go thru right away and all of my alerts are on time. I am only haveing the problem when I call into the voice mail system to check my messages and when others call me to leave a voice mail.

I had a message around Noon (Pacific time) and after dialing *123 a few times, it eventually connected to voice mail after a good 30+ secs, no ring tone, just silence.

Quite unusual. Usually it connects immediately. Tony T

That is exactly the same problem I am having, that is why I thought it may be a Vonage issue not me or my ISP. I will try again today to see how it is.

Voicemail is now back to normal. All is fine now with my Vonage system.
