Hi! I have had Vonage for the past year almost and am reasonably happy with it (getting echoes sometimes!) and I have an important assignment coming up in March where I will need a separate fax line and possibly another phone line too.
I'm currently running on their linksys adapter connected behind my Linksys WRT54G router.....what additional equipment would I need?
Also,I'm concerned about the quality of the sound since I did a Voip test last night which said my QoS was only 64% and that it was good for one line only.( I have the basic Comcast cable package(4MBps down/256k up?)....I would appreciate any help in this matter because I am not that technically inclined but can read and follow directions lol!
Thanks in advance.

anyone have any suggestions atleast?
ok,another question - is it possible to have 2 5.8 GHz phones running in the same house without any interference or problems? I can't seem to find a decently priced 2-line cordless system,so was thinking of getting 2 different 5.8 ones....come on,someone's gotta know about this, right?? |

Just another phone adapter which they will provide.

256, in theory, should be enough to run two Vonage lines. They need 90k each, so theoretically you could run three on a dedicated connection. However, it sounds like your connection may not have consistent enough bandwidth for three lines set on best quality. You may be able to crank the two voice lines down to 50k, or you may have problems. You can always try it under the money back guarantee, or by inviting a friend with Vonage over for a test (bring their adapter!) if you know anyone else who has Vonage in your area. |
