Post subject: One-sided voice comms
My system was working superb for about 3 months. For the last 2 weeks I have been dropping calls. The last week though, when someone calls, I can hear them as if they were in the same room with me, but they can not hear me at all.
I replaced my cabled modem. - no change
I replaced my linksys router with a brand new one - no change
Here is my set-up
comcast.net cable modem --> Linksys Router --> cisco
Vonage
box
THe linksys router has 4 ports.. one goes to my hub, that goes to all computer drops in the house. One is connected to the
Vonage
box.
After replacing hardware, I placed an e-mail to customer service at
Vonage
. I received a called the very next morning (on a saturday) and the customer service rep was kind enough to troubleshoot the issue with me. After a few baseline test calls, customer service rep had me go to a Broadband speed testing website.
My results were 2750 download rate and only 67 upload rate. I contacted my ISP and found out I am rated for getting 3000 down and up to 256 upload. I'm having ISP come test my lines to try to determine solution for faster upload rates.
Big A+ to
Vonage
customer service for all time spent with me on a Saturday to attempt to resolve my phone issues.
