Post subject: Vonage and D-Link 614+
Hi,
Just got Voange and so far so good. I have DSL 1.5/256 (just upgraded to 3.0/386 will take effect in a few days) and a GE 2 Cordless phone system and so far so good.
I have the following steup:
Modem---Router---VT1005--PC
Internet works great and phone works great But I can no longer access my router config. It just times out. I do not have DMZ setup in the VT1005 but I might have in the router. I will need to move the VT1005 out of the equation snd check to see if I can access it.
Any recomendations on an expandable cordless phones? Might be looking for one that has a corded base station.
Any suggestions on improving call quality and so forth are appreciated.
Any tests show that DSL works better then Cable or vice versa?
T
hanks,
Mark.

I have my vt1005 behind the router, if you have 256 up or above there is no need to have the VT1005 in front of the router, as the QOS is only for the local connection to the internet. Once the SIP packet hits the internet it is best effort.
