I added a second line several months ago and at the time only needed the one adapter as the phones were in close proximity. I have now moved the phone to another line and need the adapter that was offered when I ordered the 2nd line. They are now telling me I have to purchase one at a retailer. Any advise? |

I bumped up my DSL service so 2 lines work fine now but I was asked when I ordered my 2nd line if I wanted another adapter and at the time I did not need. I now would like as we have a guest house in the back I would like to run the phone to. They were going to give it to me before so why not now? |

I'm sorry, I think your expectations are unrealistic. They offered that to you at time of sign up, now it's several months later. Why would you think that offer should still stand?
Vonage is a business, just like every other business. When you first sign on they always bend over backwards to get your business. After you sign up, your on your own. That offer was at time of sign up, not many months later. |

Also you might consider a rtp300 instead of rt31p2. I don't have personal knowledge of the routers but people here don't seem to like the rt31p2. Fellow V's say the rtp300 is the way to go if you don't have a need for wireless. Maybe the newer version router can handle the small bandwidth better. Just my thoughts. |

Yes, when you order a second line, they will ask you if you need a second adapter. But you are SOL if you say no and need it later. My advice is if you want to get the most for your money always say you need a new device. You can always move the line to the old device if you really didn't need it, and its there if you wanna take line 2 on the road. This is the reason they won't deal with devices bought on EBAY |

Well, maybe I'll just turn off the second line for a while and reactivate later....I'm in sales, too, and I don't like the "now or never" tactic. |
