Have had the Vonage telephone for over two (2) years and have been very pleased. Only call CS once, and the twenty-minute wait was no problem. I have waiting longer on many other companies.
I recommend Vonage, if my vote counts. |

Even my Mom can use it!
Yup, other than a few random issues calling the UK, my Mom has had no problems. She was tired of paying $50 to Comcast each month, plus $40-$50 to Qwest, plus LD. She threatened to return to dialup internet access to save money, but I convinced her to try Vonage.
Anyway, I set things up for her, plugged Vonage into her house wiring, hid the modem & router away in a cabinet and told her not to touch it. Four months later and I'm the one more worried than she is that something might go wrong. I don't think she really thinks that she's an "early adopter"; she just thinks of it as a normal phone line.
Of course it probably helps that I'm a software engineer and well versed in networking stuff.
I'd get Vonage myself, but I can't even use all the minutes on my cellphone each month.

I just used the testyourvoip.com link to test my connection. It scored a 4.4 from San Jose and 4.2 from Boston and I'm located just outside of Columbia, SC. So, how does this score really rate?
Thanks for all of the feedback. |

I score a 3.4 and never had a problem in over a year. Why don't you quit futzing around and just do it? Geeze, it's not like you have to mortgage your house to try it. |

That wasn't totally called for now was it OldSnipe?
I simply would like to illicit some positive feedback about the service and use that to make an informed decision. If that doesn't work for you then simply don't respond.

Those scores are good if they're consistent, but as Reebok said, we'd need to see the detailed results to tell you more. |
