I used the phone in the same room as the base station and the signal is reported as "excellent" on my laptop. I reiterate that I think they still need to do a little more work on the thing. Great first go though.

Did you have WPA set on the AP? There have been reported F1000 problems when using WPA - where the phone loses AP connection.

That's interesting....I use WEP...(i have some old wi-fi kit which doesn't support WPA)...which might explain why I haven't seen this issue.

Yes I was using WPA. WEP is easy to break. I'm not going to take any security of my base station just to facilitate a phone. Once again it illustrates my point that the phone is not quite there yet.
