Post subject: Help me, the former genius
After my many postings, have now found myself wanting ...
My VT1000 has worked perfectly IN FRONT of my router/hub and was able to access the VT1000 config screen at 192.168.102.1
To test (why would I do this I now have no idea) the bandwidth control, I decided to turn the DHCP server on the VT1000 off and connect it BEHIND my router/hub. Well that's working just fine thank you but ....
I'd like to turn the DHCP capabilities back on for the VT1000 (it's now behind my router/hub with the address 192.168.100.6) -- but no amount of probing will get me back to the VT1000 config screen. Thus I'm unable to restore the config I'd like (VT1000 in FRONT of the router/hub).
It was then, in my infinite wisdom, that I realized the VT1000 has no 'hard' reset button and thus I'm left with no idea of how to turn the DHCP server back on.
Any ideas, thoughts would be welcome.

You must be connected to the PC port. If you are trying to hit through the WAN port it will never work. Also, since DHCP is off the PC has to have a static address on the same subnet (first 3 numbers the same as the MTA and the last number something different). Set the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0. Then you can get in and make changes FROM THE PC PORT!
Search for 255.255.255.0 and you'll find several posts about this if you want more detailed instructions.

Mongo not too smart!!!
Found an earlier posting and I'm back in business. Here's the trick (repeating from Quarkster).
If you accidently set DHCP off and can no longer access web configuration page on your VT1000.
1. Configure a PC for IP address 192.168.102.95 subnet 255.255.255.0 NO gateway address
2. Connect PC to VT1000 via PC connector on VT1000 (not WAN side)
3. Re-start (unplug/plug in) VT1000 allow to start-up*
4. You should be able to access config page now at 192.168.102.1
*Note: VT100 does not have to be connected to anything on the WAN side and probably best if not.
