I just had an odd situation (it was good, but odd). I was in the middle of a conference call with work and I suddenly lost all internet connectivity. I often <ahem> surf around during especially long conference calls and suddenly every website timed out and I couldn't ping my default gateway. POP3 email connections couldn't be made, VPN dropped, everything - except the conference call I was on. How? Why did my VPN tunnel drop, but not the Vonage call? Not that I'm complaining, not at all. I just find it odd that it worked through an apparent loss of internet connectivity. By the way, I had to reboot my cable modem to get back connectivity. My TA is working, but it says "Provisioning failed". I get dial tone, I can make and receive calls, everything. Maybe I should knock on wood.
Update: It now says "Provisioning succeeded" although I never rebooted the TA or anything (even after losing internet connectivity). |
