I use a wireless modem jack from RCA. (RC930 model number). It works just fine with my Tivo and wireless fax machine.

A bit on the pricey side for a glorified phone jack, though.

not sure how that will help, the only line I will have is the Vonage line coming out of the router which will go straight into my phone.. what will the wireless do for me? sorry if I'm missing the point...

No problem here -- I have my DirecTV Sony box plugged (using a line splitter) into my Vonage box.

Dials out every month, works every time.

Yup - you got it... Works for me.

Just be sure that you have your Vonage service set to BEST QUALITY on the web site settings -- if you don't know what I mean or have never changed your voice settings online, don't worry about it, it's already set to max.

Glad I could help. Smile

Yup - I do.

One last thing -- the line splitter may be too big to fit on the back of the Vonage box (mine was) so I have a line extender (90 cent white connector with 2 female connectors on it) and a line splitter. Cord goes from the Vonage box to the splitter which is plugged into the extender. Another line from the back of the extender to the Directv unit while a third line from the splitter into my Panasonic phone.

Sounds confusing, but it's not. If you have enough room to plug the splitter directly into the back of your Vonage box, you don't need the extra line extender -- if there's not enough room or it won't fit snug into the Vonage box, follow my example and you can't go wrong.

Good idea...

When I need a splitter, I go for the ones with all-female jacks, and pick up a short patch cable to plug into it. Less chance of damage (less likely something will hit or push on that big ugly plastic wart sticking out of the back of my expensive and delicate electronic toys, and break something).

I hate broken toys. Smile
