I have been trying to transfer 11 numbers from Verizon to Vonage now since (December 20, 2005 - Letter of Authorization (LOA) Received), and have so far only gotten 2 transferred.
I have waited past the 20 business days required, and called and called. Each time I call I have to start at Tier 1, and then be sent to Tier 2, and then get sent to the Number Transfer Dept, and then on to Escalations. Once I get to escalations I have all kinds of problems with them hearing me, or being disconnected. The two times I was able to get through, I spoke to a rep who said she would work with me and Verizon to get these numbers transferred ASAP. She called me back once to verify that they were all Verizon number since they appeared to her to have different provider IDs. I verified that they are all Verizon and all in the same office, and she said she would call Verizon again and call me back. This is the fourth business day since she said that, and I have tried to get in touch with her again but cannot get her in any way.
Does anyone know how to get in touch with this Dept a bit faster than going through all the tiers of support and losing my connection somewhere through the process.
It appears that some of our numbers have ownbership transferred, but Verizon has not officially released them yet, and I cannot get anyone at Verizon either.
Anyone have any ideas? I am at my wits end, these are business lines. |

When I had issues getting my number transferred from BellSouth I filed a complaint with my local Public Service Commission against BellSouth. Magically, my number was transferred 2 days later. |
