The last incoming call I was able to receive was late last night, at 10:39 p.m. CST. All day today, from morning to now, inclusive, my ability to receive incoming calls has disappeared. My dashboard says there are no service issues; this site's home page says there are no service issues. Everything checks out equipment-wise; I just can't get any incoming calls.
Anybody hear anything weird happening in the Chicago suburban area?
FWIW, Vonage's recorded message when calling says they have experienced incoming call problems in the Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, and Minnesota areas; however, those were unrelated to my situation. As I mention below, the problem has been resolved. It wasn't really a technical issue at all. Duh! |

Have you tried re-cycling power on your equipment and re-powering in the correct sequence- typically modem, wait, router/adapter, wait, computers? If not, you should try it.
If you've tried that, please post the information listed in the sticky at the top of the forum. |

The problem seems to have been resolved. Let's call it the "Duh!" solution. |

Your packet discards are high, especially on the uplink, but I don't see why that would cause a total inability to receive incoming calls. Is it possible that the ringer circuit on the adapter or on the telephone is out of order?
If you have a cell phone or other phone nearby, try calling your Vonage phone. Does the calling phone get a ring tone? If so, try picking up the Vonage phone and seeing if the connection is made.
I think you're heading toward a session with Vonage customer service, but it would be nice to gather all the data we can on the problem. |

I know that Vonage indicates that they are having trouble on incoming calls. However, this problem has been with us here in the mid-west for almost a week now. It was so bad that I had to call every in call back to get a good connection. And, yes, my QOS was at 80% with low latency and good bandwidth. Point is, it should not take a week to fix this problem. Happened about 6 months ago, same thing. Vonage needs better diagnostic tools. |
