I have been using Vonage for about 3 months, and have noticed a problem with my voicemail several times. I tried looking through the forums, but hadn't seen this issue resolved, just a similar post from last November with no solution...

The most recent episode was today, a friend called, and as I was out the call went to voicemail, however she said that my message was all stuttered and garbled, and then when she started to leave a message a voice cut in and told her that she had 10 seconds remaining, so she just hung up. I could hear her message just fine, and could hear her pause when she was listening to the "ten second" message, but couldn't hear that part myself.

This same problem has happened several other times in the past, with different people calling and every time I try to call to hear it for myself the message sounds just fine. I haven't had any other problems with call quality, except for intermittent episodes where the person I called cannot hear me, but when I move to a different location in my house that usually clears up, so I think it is related to the handsets I have. The only other problem I have noticed is that other voicemails sometimes don't pick up when I call from my Vonage phone...but there is already a discussion going on that one lol Smile

Well, I will say that Vonage VM can be very quirky sometimes. I have heard of your problem happening before also. What I have seen is that sometimes their system can go through little burps from time to time. I would keep an eye on it, and if someone mentions it again I would try to keep a record of when it happened.

Thanks...I guess that I wouldn't worry about it too much except that I happen to work from home, and don't want to scare any customers away! Is this something that would be worth calling CS about? I haven't called them yet, and I am a little nervous to, based on the comments I have read about them on the forum...
