I'm looking to implement a click to call function on a website and want to know if a solution using Vonage can work.

The challenge is, I would like to implement a click to call button next to every employee's name and have the click to call button have a unique URL to bridge the unique cell phone of the employee with the phone number entered by the web user.

Also, the list of employees is a couple thousand names and there are 100+ new hires/terminations a month. I was looking for a solution that would allow the URL of the click to call button include the employee cell phone number from a database (either in the clear or encoded somehow). Most commercial click to call services require you to log in to their control panel and enter in each phone number and it spits back a unique URL. That would be a maintenance nightmare as employees come and go each month.

Does anyone know of a developer that could build something for me using the Vonage technology?

Does anyone know of another click to call vendor who provides a solution to meet the above needs?

Thanks for your ideas on how to solve this business problem.

I'm not sure if Vonage Click-2-Call works the way you think it does. All C2C does is ring your Vonage number and once you pick up the line it dials out the number that was supplied in the C2C initiation. It won't ring up any old number, only your Vonage number. So trying to integrate this with a company directory isn't going to work unless every single employee has a Vonage phone number. That's not what it sounds like since you specifically mentioned that you want it to ring the employees' cell phones. Or have I completely misunderstood what it is you'd like to do?

blakadher - You're correct in your understanding.

I'd like to dynamically bridge together any two numbers I specify from a URL, using Vonage as the service provider.

As far as I know it's not possible without some additional 3rd party software/hardware solution. What you need is some type of call control software/hardware that can act as an intermediary. Vonage C2C isn't going to fill that role for you by itself. I suspect it will need to be some type of ACD system that you write some custom handlers and stuff for.
