Samsung multi function fax

please help,

I have a samsung scx-4720F multi function, the fax will not pick up the ring on either phone port or number (I have two) - the line rings until it finally goes to VM. I have been through the Vonage Tech support and Samsung manual and tried every fax setting (ECM, Rings to answer, Fax receive mode, distinctive ring, etc).

No luck and no help from vonage. It seems the fax machine does not even recognize the line is ringing...

Wiring and setup is verified many times, I can fax outbound w/o any problem.

thx for any input, BTW - no info in the manual about baud rate, so I have a call into Samsung, but since I can send, i doubt that's an issue.

just talked to tech support, he stated "Every Samsung fax model requires an analog phone port to sense incoming calls."

Will try to exchange it for another brand, any suggestions for a good multi-function (stand alone fax, >20 ppm BW laser print, scan)??
