I am trying to get my RT31P2 to work and my phone LEDs will not light up and I cant get a dial tone....Anyone know what I should do?

Please provide your exact configuration from your cable modem to the adapter. Without this information, we cannot help you.

Short answer would be to insure you powered all equipment down including the modem. Then start with modem until is config. and then a wireless router if you have one and then the phone adapter. Make sure you allow each piece to come up fulling before connecting the next piece. Hope this helps.

6. Setup of Network: Modem---->Vonage Adapter-->PC
7. issue: Vonage adapter is not recognizing the phone is plugged in. it worked for a while, then it stopped one day. unable to get it to work since. can you help?

2. ISP name: Comcast Type: Cable modem
3. Upload/download speed: 4 mbps
4. Modem make and model: Motorola SB5100
5. Type of Vonage adapter used: RT31P2
6. Setup of Network: Motorola SB5100 --> Linksys RT31P2 ->D-link SWL900AP Wireless Access

7. issue:I have been a customer for over a year with little problem. I currently can not get a dial tone. My phone 1 & 2 LED lights blink on and then off, Phone 1 then blinks on then off. Then the cycle repeats. I have spent at least 4 hours on the phone with Vonage support. (counting long waits in queues) Yesterday afternoon I had an automated call saying my account was being suspended. (My credit card is set to expire in February, but I had changed it and had an e-mail dated 2/18 that the payment was processed.) When I logged into my account it said it was Active and that was what billing continued to say. Then switched me to the Tech queues and after multiple reboots , and Vonage saying they reset the MAC address, nothing has happened. They are telling me I need to buy a new Linksys. I find it hard to beleive that the automated message and the Linksys problem are not related (My internet works fine)
