If I use a splitter say on phone port 1 and use two corded phones at once the second corded phone is like dead as is the cordless. Vonage's end of story is you cannot use two phones at once. Does it work for others??? Please somebody answer this correctly. |
I think the original issue of this thread is different, but are you trying to call two different numbers from two separate phones connected to the same Vonage line concurrently? If so, how do you expect this to work? One line supports only one active call at a time. If you want two concurrent calls, you need two lines. Am I missing something? As for your 2 phone cordless, the second phone cannot place a call while the first phone is using the phone line. Same idea as above, one line, one phone call at a time. Also, some phones detect if the phone line is in use by another phone and will be dead until the line gets released. That's a feature of many advanced phones and has nothing to do with Vonage. My cordless phone for example detects if my basic kitchen phone is off the hook and won't give me a dial tone. |
