Vonage's news release said E-911 was activated in New London county CT, where I live. For a couple of weeks after this press release 933 said that it was not available than finally said that I had E-911 service. Today 933 says that it is not available! The local dispacher seriously frowns on calling 911 for test purposes and dispatchs a police officer who wants to put you in a cell with a 12 ft bubba who hates people like me! Is there any way to find out just what service is available to me without waiting for an emergency and not being able to get help? Thanks
I just called Vonage and the non English speaking person said there is no such thing as E-911 with Vonage and I should just call 911 and hang up and see if they call back!!!!!! |

Hope this helps some.

I am on my second call to Vonage. I conveniently got disconnected the first time when I asked tp speak to a Supervisor and this time the guy plain refuses to foward my call to a Supervisor and has me listening to, "soothing music". He also insisted there is no E-911 and apoligised for leaving me on hold and there is no Supervisors available. Click------------------ Translation. I could tell you how that translates to me, but I am to much of a gentlemen to post it here! |

When I need help w/ Vonage... I call 1-800-250-1799. It's customer support. If you feel tech support would be better, just ask for tech support when they come on the line. That line has hardly any wait, if any at all. The best part! It's American!

My 3 year old has played with the phone and dialed 911 twice! Once when he had just turned 1 and once about 2 months ago. Both times police officers came out. The first time was hilarious. I answered the door and said "I bet it was my baby"....Low and behold my 1year old comes out of the room and he has the phone on his ear and is acting like he is talking to someone. The cop just laughed and said he had to make sure everything was fine. I told him I appreciated it. |
