We got a Linksys RTP300 router/adapter directly from Vonage with our signup. We hooked it up to use our D-Link 704UP as gateway. No problem. After some fiddling we even got MSN Messenger to work again. Phone works, no problem.
But we can't get to the setup page for the Vonage router. The phone is the only thing that's connected to it, but for security reasons we'd still like to ensure that it is setup correctly to work with the firewall, NAT, and IP filtering settings in the D-link router.
The manual that came with it says the IP for the adapter is set to 192.168.15.1, but there's no response on that IP - pinging it comes back dead. The DHCP in the D-link doesn't provide a list of IPs in use, so I can't find it that way.
I'm not really in the mood to wade through 60,000+ IPs to try and find it, so does anyone have any idea what the IP for it might be?
The D-link and our network runs on 192.168.0.x IPs, but since the phone works, a working route should still exist to the phone adapter, nomatter what its IP is.
I've tried 10.0.0.1 as well, but no response there either. |

Never mind ... I was trying to access the phone adapter from what it sees as the outside ... didn't realize it might not be open on both sides...
Edit: That is, I forgot I had to open the it to the outside first, before it'd work... had a bad day, heh |
