Post subject: Love Vonage - BUT......the MTA voice terminal...?
I have been using Primus & Iconnecthere in the past. Both were pretty good. My experience with Net2Phone was an unmitigated disaster.
Then.....mercifully, I was introduced to
Vonage
.
After a few hiccups.....the ATA box (Cisco) was great. Then, I opted to "upgrade" to MTA(Motorola).
Have had 0% luck and 100% frustrations.
The green light (which was supposed to have blinked for ~ 5 minutes) blinked for 24 hours...after a brief SOLID for 5 minutes...then started reblinking.....and did not stop.
Just fed up with that MTA.
I will try again - next week..
Does anyone else have problems with their MTA voice terminal?
do give me some advice.
Will contact
Vonage
thereafter. Customer service is quite good...

Another forum user published some blinky-lights docs:

Also, try just for fun putting a hub or switch between the Moto and your cable/DSL modem. Maybe there's an ethernet auto-speed/duplex sensing problem that the switch/hub might help.
