Post subject: mta vt1005 dlink 604 on shaw internet keeps locking out
Using Shaw in Kelowna BC
Just got
Vonage
and having trouble keeping internet connection.
Tried to set it up with:
Net -> MTA -> D-link 604 -> Comp
phone would work but no internet.
Then tried to set it up with:
Net -> D-link 604 ->MTA -> Comp
no phone no net.
I have it now without the D-link and the phone works fine(except for the time on the phones call display) but internet still will cut out, and have to re boot the computer.
Trying to read on here how to port forward so I can have this setup:
Net -> D-link 604 ->MTA -> Comp
But can't find all the right information.
Maybe someone can help?
Tested it at 600 kbps download and 300 kbps upload.
got a 4 on the test to Boston.
It does seem to lose internet quicker if I run E-mule. But don't have to use E-mule to lose internet.
And will only lose browsing and E-mail, but messenger stays on.
E-mule will say it is connected but have zero activity.
