hi, im in the uk, tonight a friend tried to phone me from abroad but was unabe to get through to me, they had phoned other non Vonage uk numbers fine, my guess is that to phone a Vonage uk number from abroad there would be no need to add the +44 (or whatever the prefix for uk is), and to just ring the Vonage number i have been issued with? would this be correct? |

no, I think you still need to dial +44. I have had people called me from Canada and they don't know I'm on Vonage. |

That it's on Vonage doesn't make the phone number special in any way - you still need to dial it just like you would any other number. That means that if the caller is outside the UK they have to prefix it with +44.
How else would the phone system know where to route the call? |

i made an uneducated assumption that as it was internet based knowing the country wasent important, but obviously im wrong lol. the thing is they did use +44, so ive got to look into why they couldent get through to me, prob a temp glitch i bet. |
