Since the PAP2 is locked down and its web interface does not respond, how does one tell the firmware version?
Also, all the discussion of firmware upgrades speaks of other devices. Is the PAP2 still being updated? |

Yeah they come out with new versions every now and again.
Get a dial tone on the phone attached to the PAP2. hit the * star key 4 times. When the phone stops talking to you, enter 150 and hit # to hear the firmware version. |

You really don't even need a dial tone - I read out the f/w version long before I connected it to a router. In fact, when I plugged mine into the router (long before Vonage started my service), the f/w immediately upgraded on its own. |

That's true, I always tell people to get a dial tone first, otherwise what happens is someone will push the star keys on their cordless phone over and over, without hitting TALK first, so the pap2 never gets the signal. Then they call me up talking about the PAP2 being broken.
