Unlike Linksys routers of the past, it looks like my new WRTP54G cannot send/display logs to itself. I configured my box to send the logs to a PC on my network running Kiwi Syslog 7.2.35, but after an hour, no messages have been received. I've tried all different log settings, but still no luck. Am I missing something here (port that the router uses to send logs)? |

I noticed this problem many firmware versions back and keep checking if they fixed it every time there is a new release. I don't even know if this is on the to do list.
I have had the WRTP54G since September and I am pretty disappointed with it. I would not recommend this solution to anyone.
If I had it to do over again, I would have bought a standard linksys router that supports QoS and the Vonage Voip adapter |

Try going into the Manage menu in Syslog and then go down to Debug Options and select Retrieve last messages. This should put some info into the log. Having said that - I find the info from the router to be pretty much useless, but you can get log info. Good luck |
