Post subject: Diagram of My Config
I had the same problem as others where I would get a dialtone and could talk for a while and then the connection would go bad. I could hear people talking to me but they could not hear me at all. This only happened when I surf or download while on a call.
I tried various configurations and then took the advice of another user who put a switch between his Linsys router and his VT1000 to stop the collisions etc. I set my network up as in the diagram and ran some tests using the phone and downloading and it's been running fine ever since the change.
I turned off NAT/DHCP on the VT1000 and set a static IP on the internal subnet. I connect the WAN port of the VT1000 to the new switch and leave the LAN port empty as it's not used in this scenario.
Take a look at the diagram for ports you will need to forward to the VT1000 through your router (click the link if diagram doesn't load).
Good luck!

Post subject: VONAGE PHONES BREAKING AND DROPPING CALLS
HELLO. I NEED HELP BAD!!
we have 3 motoraola terminals and 5 pc's hooked into a linsys ef 10/100 switch and it is dropping packets and losing calls.
I was told that if I got a managed switch to setup vlans , 1 for voice and 1 for data, that it would give priority to the voice lan and would insure quality. anybody help me out there? I am looking at getting an HP procurve managed switch.
The switch we have now has no web interface , nothing to setup ports or anything...
thanks
