SSH works, you just need to know the password. |

Does that software upgrade also apply to Linksys WRTP54G . I am at present only on .30 software.
I am having continual trouble with incoming calls-echo especialy.

Yes...the update is for the WRTP54G and the RTP300. These routers are identical except that the WRTP54G has wireless networking and the RTP300 doesn't.
You are on a VERY old version. The reverse echo issue was resolved around the .48 release.
You should receive the updates from Vonage automatically. If not, call the help desk and ask them to push it to you. |

Good Lord, man. Your router is still sending Voip packets on stone tablets! That's assuming they had discovered stone back then! 1.00.30 is probably a year old. In Voip terms, that's somewhere in the Precambrian era. Your packets are being eaten by dinosaurs, that's the problem...
Seriously, call CS and get something a little less... ancient.. loaded on that box. You may have to turn off wireless to free up enough memory for the upgrade you are about to attempt.
From a call quality standpoint, you'll be VERY glad you did. |

If you turn off wireless to free up memory, and then cycle power on the WRT, it may update automatically. Can't hurt to try. |
