I have 2 Vonage Lines using an RTP300. I have four twoline phones and 2 single line phone using a punchdown in a closet to connect the phones in a star configuration. Does anyone else out there have a similar setup where they are using multiple 2 line phones on one adapter?
I installed the RTP300 at the beginning of November and service has been fantastic. But lately, I will speak to someone and my voice will be clear but their voice sometimes is garbled. Also, the volume of the calls sometimes is a lot lower than usual. Used bandwidth saver today with less problems but they are still there. |

If you haven't tried recycling power and then re-powering in the correct order, you should do that first. If that doesn't fix it, post the technical details listed in the sticky at the top of the forum.
I don't have multiple two-line phones, but each port on the RTP300 should be capable of handling several phones, depending on the type of phone. People typically talk about 5 as being a reasonable limit. |

Steve, thanks for the input. I have so much sniffin and monitoring tools on here that everything is being watched. however stuff still happens when a server at hop 22 gets a packet error. Obviously things can happen on the Vonage end that we cannot see like voicemail and some dropped calls due to various internal servers having problems behind their firewall. I did a little more investigating and feel confident that my set up is good. I guess we will just have to live with lost packets once in a while. Steve, I use my phones all the time for my business. How often do you see the typical problems that are usually reported over in Orlando?
And a disclaimer on the testmy.net server. Because it is a busy server, sometimes the speeds are affected and the reading is not all together accurate. I usually runs between 45 and 60kB/s
