can someone please help me. i am having probs with my incoming calls. my sister called me on my cell a few mins ago and told me that she could not get thru to me. she has been able to call me everyday since i got this number with no problem and now today she is gettin the error message that her call cannot be completed as dialed and to check the number and please try her call again. my dad gets the same message. my number is 803-632-xxxx. its is a south carolina area code with a fairfax exchange. i chose a fairfax exchange cause it is local for my family back home. my dad can call everyone in that 632 exchanhe except me. my sister has unlimited local and long distance on her phone and like i said she has been able to get me everyday except today. my mom and other family lives in the same area as my dad and they can get me just fine. but like i said my sister could too until today. please help me cause now i am nervous that soon no one will be able to call me. i called my sister back today on the Vonage line with no problem but she cant call me. she has tried about 10 times and it gives her the same message. thanks for any help.

I think it's time for a call to Vonage Customer Service. There's obviously no problem with your basic setup, so it has something to do with service issues down the line. I doubt that there's much that you can do with getting CS involved. Your sister's carrier might be able to work the issue, but Vonage has more incentive to do it.

how do i contact Vonage to help me with this problem. i have never contacted them before and i am new to Vonage and i love the service so far. this is the only problem i am having with them. the connection is good and very clear so no problems there. i just dont understand why my sister all of a sudden is now not able to call me after being able to call me eveyday up until today. my dad has never been able to get me but he gets everybody else with this exchange. there is definitely something wrong on my end. because if it was my dad's phone then he would not be able to call anyone in the 632 exchange area and if it was my sister phone then she would not have been able to call me at all every since the beginning. she just started having the probs today.

ok thankyou, but now that i look to the left side of this forum i see that they have a service announcement posted that area codes in 803 area may experience inbound calls problem. so i am going to wait it out and see what results. i tried calling from my cell phone a minute ago and i cant even call the Vonage number on my cell phone anymore. i used to be able to do it all the time. i called last night as a matter of fact and left a message on my Vonage voicemail by using my cell phone. we are a military family and my husband is away right now. so i thought it would be cool to call the Vonage line and leave him a voice message he could hear over the internet where he is. it worked great and he was able to log into our Vonage account online and listen to the message i left for him. that way he gets to hear my voice for free. it was really neat. he is in iraq. i thought it was the coolest thing to do. he was soooooo happy to hear my voice. callin cards are so expensive so we talk using the computer a lot and we cant always get the phone thing on yahoo to work good so this is a new way i can let him hear my voice for free. well, thanks again for the number.

this is the first time I've seen a service msg that affects one of my area codes.. lol.. hopefully none of my wifes family want to call us.. haha, my wife's step-mom just got Vonage the other day, (she lives in Columbia) she's gonna be freaking out, cuz she already doens't have a clue what she's doing as it is.. she couldn't figure out why her phones in the house didn't work, "only the one thats connected to her Vonage box worked" she actually called customer service before she called me.. lol..

Lietzel, i hope you can get all your issues worked out with your service..

my wife is from Columbia (well, Lexington), most of her family is there or very close to it..
Columbia is cool, I know my way around pretty good, even tho I haven't been there much.. I know it better than my wife does.. haha
