One CS told me I should have got the printer with my router, another told me I should get it seperately, I haven't asked again as I've been too busy phoning TS to try to get a MAC transfer. I'm afraid I don't really feel like calling back if I have to hassle someone for a half hour before I can get any help.

I've yet to receive mine yet either. I signed up in December and received my router within 5-7 days. Now that a month has passed, I have not seen or heard anything about the free printer. I also noted that the Vonage site was still advertising this promotion for at least 1-2 weeks AFTER I signed up.

I have not contacted customer service yet, but might do that after a few more people share their experiences on this.

Aside from that, I am VERY happy with the service thus far.

Hi, I just wanted to share my experience with Vonage.

I signed up in Jan of this year. Although I like having the freedom to call Ontario from BC anytime without worrying about long distance and having my virtual number so people can call me, I am disappointed in their customer service.

The phone service is good enough, the router keeps dying on me so I have to reset it so it starts working again.

Anyways, my main issue for posting is the promotion that I signed up under. The Brother Printer promo.

I was told it would not take more than a month to get it when I signed up. It is now May and I still have not received it. I have contacted CS many times about this. Because of the time difference I have called them after 5 pm eastern time (which is supposedly when the person is charge of this promo is gone). They always say someone will contact me, they never do.

I called twice now early enough, but the "person" is never available. I am not sure what to do other than cancel the service and place an official complaint with the BBB.

I feel that the promotion is false advertisement. I will call them again and update this when and if I get the printer.

Anyone else having this problem?

My apologies... I did not post a reply with the outcome of this. I contacted Vonage via email and the reply I got is shown below. Within 10 days of receiving this reply, the printer was delivered to me. I am definately very happy with the speed that this was resolved once I contacted customer service.

Thank you for recently contacting Vonage Canada with your inquiry. Please accept my apologies for any delay in responding back to you.

I have taken a look at your account and see that you definitely were supposed to receive a free Brother Printer. Generally speaking, you SHOULD HAVE received it within 10 business days of signing up. However, it is apparent that much more time has passed. I have passed your account information to the Marketing Department and am awaiting a response back from them. As soon as I hear back from them, I will contact you to discuss this issue.

In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to reply to this email! Thank you for being so patient thus far. I assure you that your concerns will be addressed in a timely manner.

Hi,

I wanted to post an update.

The day I posted my original message, I also called Vonage once again. CS said the same thing as always, they don't know what is going on...they will contact the marketing dept and then contact me.

After I got off the phone I called home and to my surprise the printer had arrived. I later got a call from CS and I let it go to vm thinking it was just to tell the printer had arrived.

When I heard the message I was surprised that they still did not know I got the printer. They said that they would get back to me in 48 hours. Lets hope they do so i can tell them that I got the printer.

Overall I am happy that I finally got the printer which actually looks like a very nice printer. However, the experience was not the greatest. CS dept needs to be better informed of promotions.

Another happy customer, sort of.
