I just started w/Vonage. I installed a PAP2 onto my WTR54GS v1.1 (w/updated Linksys firmware) and it worked fine for about 5 minutes with a MOS of 4.2, but never again. Now I average 3.5. My cable modem is Motorola SB4220 w/Cox Communications (Las Vegas). Curiously enough my most recent speed test showed my upload speed dropped to half of what it has been for a while, but I still get the same MOS score.
Based on everything I've read and tried, it seems that my last resort is to contact Cox and see what they can do. Has anyone had success going this route? Are there any other recommendations?

I've updated my router firmware, powered everything down in order, set various QoS settings. The only thing I haven't done yet is climb into the attic to see the cable line splits

your MOS score I believe is calculated with many factors one of which is your upload speed. As far as I can see, your upload speed though it is on the lower end for cable appears to be sufficient for Voip. What is not very good is your degradation data:

I have heard of people having their ISP out and doublechecking everything in terms of signal strength and cabling. But from what I can tell, sometimes it works, other times, it's a problem elsewhere in the system, not at your home.
