This newbie is heading for Scotland next week. I'll have access to hotel with "high speed internet." I assume this means an ethernet connection in my room. Is it possible to take the MTA with me and connect for calls back to the USA?

Yes, if you have a high-speed connection in the room.
Not that I have to remind you, but be sure and bring a
telephone in addition to your MTA.

I would through my router in the suitcase as well (just incase).
