voicemail is not answering. instead incoming calls are dropped after the 25 seconds I specified for voicemail to answer. This is worse than what Vonage is posting on its website.
Just talked to customer service who told me this is a known problem. I asked why it isn't posted on the website. got gobbeldy *beep* can't do anything about that,,, will consider for future enhancement.
An outage is frustrating enough. Refusal to post the true extent of it so that users can deal with it is dishonest and unacceptable. |

Yeah, I just tested it with my cell phone and voicemail doesn't pick up, the line just goes dead. That's pretty crappy. They should just disable it and make calls ring continuously if they are having issues with voicemail. I usually go a long way to defend Vonage, but that's unbelievable. They should also, as you said, put the information that voicemail is inoperable (for at least some customers) in the service status message. I really like Vonage, but so far I haven't been comfortable recommending them to any of my friends without some pretty substantial caveats. And that's too bad... |

Does anyone know if this is nationwide? I am in florida and here are my symptoms.
Try to retreive messages and am told that ID is already in use and it is extremely slow to respond. AAAAARGGGGGGG!!!
I recommended Vonage to a friend. She was pretty ticked off with me after that and she has incredible upload and download speed with a very clean network. |

I don't know how their voicemail servers are distributed (I suspect they are not), but I doubt this is a localized issue. More likely it is systemwide. |

The voicemail as reported on Vonage's site is down right now, and they are fixing it. |

I'm in Florida and no voicemail. No attachments to email forwarding earlier today and now no email at all. Calling voicemail by phone says there is 1 message (should be 3 or 4), press 1 and dead air. Nice.
New user here, a little over a week and now this?
I called tech support with a question after I first set up the router last week and got a rep that could not speak english well at all. I mean VERY bad english. He finally sent me to the next level and the american tech answered my question in a few seconds.
Is this the norm? |
