Is it just me or does anyone else seem to have ongoing issues of varying sorts. Today I cannot retrieve voice messages. The other day audio was garbled. I seem to spend more time with Vonage than I do my girlfriend.

Can someone give me a reason not to pay more money for less features and have phone service that works 100% of the time through Qwest?

Well, no phone works 100% of the time, but I get your meaning.

I've had my share of problems, mostly to do with my network than Vonage, but despite the fact that those are not the FAULT of Vonage, they are part of the "VoIP Experience".

But I've had good enough luck with Vonage that I have no landline, and I dropped my cell a month or so back, and it's worked very well.

To be honest, voicemail isn't a feature I end up using a lot, so I can't comment on that. If I did, and it was giving me the kind of fits I see other people complaining about, I'd disable it and put in a cheap digital answering machine (my 2 cordless phone bases have the consarned things built in anyway) and call it a day.

There is a message on the IVR about *123 not working at the moment. You can still check your voicemail through your webaccount however. Calling in will do nothing in this situation, as it is a known issue. Embarassed

Logging in won't necessarily help either. I'm recieving email with voicemail attachments they are not showing up in my Dashboard at Vonage. So... who knows.

incoming calls are dropping after the 25 seconds I specified for going to VM. BVoicemail is not picking up so callers cannot leave messages.

This is obviuosly even worse than the retrieval problem Vonage admits it's having.

Great posts. I agree, I need a more reliable phone system. Vonage seems to be losing it.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. I've been on since March of '05. I feel like I know more than the "support" people I talk to. Sometimes I have to argue with them to get them to make an adjustment they've made before after doing one of their infamous firmware udpates. Something always gets hosed on my end after one of those wonderful treats.

Now my voice mail system is screwed up. Seems like something different almost every week.

How about this. I work for a living and have my own business. I want to charge my hourly rate for all the time spent having to reboot equipment and calling Vonage. The setup is not difficult. I was doing great on firmware .53 (I think... I lose track). They got me on .58 and I had to call in again.

Of course one could argue... blah blah blah. Quit ****' and go somewhere else. They seem to get this to work and then screw it up. Weird how some people have problems and others claim things work great.

It's no claim, it does work great....for me.

However I agree about talking to the CSR's....with the exception of those that are brave enough to actually enter this forum.

Still I believe it's a great phone for a great price.
