Of course one could argue... blah blah blah. Quit ****' and go somewhere else. They seem to get this to work and then screw it up. Weird how some people have problems and others claim things work great.

It's no claim, it does work great....for me.

However I agree about talking to the CSR's....with the exception of those that are brave enough to actually enter this forum.

Still I believe it's a great phone for a great price.

Great Price ..Yeah. Great PHONE..?! No way.
I didn't have any problems that I am having now with my phone which was always 99.999% reliable (bar a hurricane or tornado). I have to re-set this darn box 2-3 times a week. Voice mail is quitting now. I keep thinking it's my computer but my internet works fine. So, Great price... YEAH.. BUT, you get what you pay for.! I'm looking into other options.. So, why don't they make HOME CELL PHONES ANYWAYS? They are getting there.

"....HOME CELL PHONES ANYWAYS? They are getting there."

It's called WiFi, and will allow you to connect to WAP's if you're traveling around, or at home/office. It will roam to a tower if there is no WAP nearby. It's coming, and Vonage will surely have one.

Well, my landline phone was far less than 99.9% reliable, closer to 94% reliable. That said, Vonage has been ~97-98% reliable since I've had it. They have had issues, which have been annoying, but at least the calls went through and were clear, far more than I can say for my landline. Never had to manually reset my Vonage adapter either. I take my Vonage adapter on the road quite often and haven't had too many issues; when I've had call connection issues, they've been because of the ISP, NOT Vonage. If you look through the forum, most of the posts & problems are related to the person's internet connection/provider, not Vonage itself. Oh yeah, Vonage still worked DURING the hurricane, despite the landline provider (Sprint) being dead in the water.

There are units that let you dock your cell phone in the base and then use the extension handsets. But dayum...where can you find a cell phone plan with 500 minutes, no charge for incoming and 800# calls, for $14.99/month? Or unlimited minutes for $24.99? Of course, you have the ultimate portability with a cell phone so maybe that alone is worth the more than 200% premium you would likely end up paying.
