I have three Vonage phone lines. Does anyone know if I can have two seperate VTech IP8100-2 phones, one each to use on two of my numbers? Or can I only use one VTech and have to use analog phones with adapters for the other two lines?
Thanks, J.R. |

You should be able to use any combination of Vtechs & analog adapters with Vonage. That said, the Vtechs aren't multiline phones, so you'll want to label them to know which handset belongs to which line. You'd need to call up Vonage and give them the MAC address of the device and have them assign that to whichever phone number you wish it to be connected to. |

Thank you for your help. I did purchase the second VTech. Hooked it up, called Vonage support and had them add the new MAC address. To my disappointment it would not work. For over another hour I was on the phone with TS, unplugging, resetting, changing IP address, restoring defaults, rebooting (keep in mind the other two lines equipment were working fine). TS unable to help me, I came back here for a search. I read a post on a simular problem. They also had two VTechs. The new VTech would only flash amber or a steady amber, never solid green. The solutions was to change the email setting on that line. When the time set to answer was at 30 secs the phone didn't work. By changing the time to any other number it worked. So I went and check my email settings. First I had to delete the hunt group to access voicemail for that number since it was last in the hunt. Changed the setting to 25sec and immediately my light turned steady green and I was good to go. Should have searched here first before calling TS. Would have same a lot of time. Thanks again. |
