I just purchased the Motorola ATA device and I am having trouble configuring it to work with my Voip. Below is the information that they gave me. Can anyone help with explaining where what needs to go?

I actually have service with a different service provider. I just had no other forum to turn to for help. My Voip provider was not very helpful except for providing me with the info above.

Is that a Vonage Motorola ATA? If so, it probably doesn't have a place for entering SIP information - Vonage devices are generally locked for the Vonage network only. They disable the SIP setup screens (at least they do on my WRTP54G).

yeah what kind of Motorola ATA is this? where did it come from? Just what are you trying to pull here mister. Vonage devices don't have to have SIP information configured into them. If this is some random ATA it won't work because the Vonage network won't recognize the MAC address. So you'll get this instead:

I'm not familiar with the ATA itself, but I assume there has to be a configuration screen somewhere.

What exact model number is the Motorola ATA? The VT1000?

If it's a different model, they have user guides for most of their audio gateways. It appears that they tend to support web interfaces, so it should be a matter of going to the setup screens on the device and finding "VoIP Setup" or "SIP Setup" and entering your server, user, and password information so the device can log into your Voip provider.

The relevant instructions seem to start around page 19 of the user guide, though they seem to imply that your service provider should be inserting this information into the device.

Can you log on to the Internet with a computer attached to the device? Just to verify Internet connectivity?
