BTW OOL Customers:
Reboot your modem. You might have a very nice surprise from the folks at CableVision:
2Mbps Up, 15Mbps Down (21 Vonage lines for me)
No price increase.
This is being deployed network wide all this week.
My upload is actually faster at 2.44Mbps, while my download is +/- 13Mbps, but I am not complaining.

I Wub Optonline.
except that whole No-Bit-Torrent thing...whats up with that...never works anymore... (off topic I know, sorry.)
But, now, what if she is on the Vonage phone and her man wants to use his Voip at the same time - couldn't there possibly a port conflict? |

From what I understand, they use different ports.
However, even if they didn't, how would that differ from two or more Vonage lines on the same connection? I do that everyday. |

Occasionally, some entrepeneur will have like 18 Vonage devices all stacked up and runnining together. Assuming bandwidth is not the problem, the same RTP port numbers may be in use by different devices at the same time if a lot of calls come in at the same time. So someone will have to go into each and every device and manually set an RTP port range for a specific device. Luckily I haven't had to yet, myself. |

So if I have my optonline modem and my router on the 1st floor so you think I could just buy the Linksys WRTP54G and have it in the bsmt? (the phone line I want to use is only there).
Would that work? |
