Good luck!! I'm not trying to be an a-hole but I did a lot of research before I went with Vonage and that Linksys don't work. I have a wireless computer my network and I just put a WAP on the router and a card in the computer. and wam bam thank you maam. Every thing else is wired.

I have an old DLink DI-701 router I use on my current wired network. The VT1005 works just fine and dandy behind that. So I might run Vonage off the DLink and then run Ethernet from the DLink to a wireless router. From there I run my PCs. Just keep the new wireless router out of the Vonage loop. |

Sounds good to me. I dont know how many computers you want to run on the wireless side, but don't forget a router has only so much bandwidth |

My situation is similar. I have a work laptop that's on all day and will require most of the bandwidth. But almost all the traffic is Internet bound, so the cable modem is by far the bottleneck. There are two other PCs, one which gets light use and one which gets almost no use. And again, aside from rare file transfers among clients, most of the traffic is to and from the Internet. |

Hooked up today right out of the box according to Vonage's diagram and instructions. Works perfectly with the Linksys WRT54G. Hope it keeps on chugging along! |

My config is cablemodem, linksys WRT54G, Moto VT and its been great well for 20 hours! I know I have time to wait. Also it all worked right out of the box. I don't know if I will have to configure a port for firmware updates or anything but I am happy. I did get a click twice and the person thought I hung up but thats fine with me for $15 a month. |
