You need to determine whether house wiring is actually the issue. During a period when the problem is occurring, take a phone, disconnect the adapter from the house wiring, and plug the phone directly into the adapter. See if that clears up the trouble. |

Hey all,
I have been reading these posts and the insight has been great. I do need some clarification.
I moved into a new house that has the cat 5 punched down, in a box located in the coat closet. There some wires dangling outside near the electric meter.
According to what I read, everything should be set and the phone jacks should be able to use Voip, once I plug the Voip adapter into one of the jacks. However, I am not getting any signal once I do this.
The only thing different about the house's wiring is that it is 'wired for an alarm system'. Even though the alarm system is not activated, could this be an issue?
Thanks for any help. |
