loosing dial tone & service

Post subject: loosing dial tone & service
i have had this service for only 2 days & each evening i've had to unplug phone adapter then plug it back in & allow it to reset then i get dial tone back. last night i got tech on phone thayt had me do this. he could not explain why it happened. now again tonight same thing,but i can't reach tech support.cable modem working fine. no probs. no other equip connected(router,etc.) cordless phone plugged into adapter. please help. thanks jimbo

i have cable modem. it seems that it happened after being online for awhile. i wonder if it lost connection with server or something maybe need bandwidth adjustment? jimbo

Have your cable company check your line for "noise".
You might notice at the time of day that the service drops, the
speed of your connection drops.
Just a thought.

well it seems if you visit dashboard on
Vonage
website then check your voicemail while online you loose your dial tone i just read that on another thread. i haven't done that since 2 days ago ( nor will i ever again) & i haven't experienced any probs with phone service. thanks for replies jimbo
